Postpartum Support

Postpartum life can look and feel significantly different than expected.  Suddenly, birthing people and their needs can be overlooked in deference to the newest member of the family.  Physical healing, emotional processing, and hormonal turbulence can be pushed aside as most of your time is now spent learning about and caring for another human.  New roles and connections are being established, and sleep is precious.

A magic fairy comes in, drops off and unpacks your grocery order, and puts dinner in the crockpot.  Then she checks in with you - how are YOU feeling? What's been going on? She really listens, and offers support and a hug if you need one.  She also gives you the name of an excellent referral - a pelvic floor therapist to help with that lingering discomfort. Or maybe a lactation consultant for that pesky latch issue. She then gets the laundry situated, washes up all the bottles and pump parts she can find, and takes the dog for a walk.  When she returns, she helps you figure out that baby wrap so you can finally eat with two hands.  On her way out, she gives a last minute tip about sleep, and you can rest easy knowing that she'll be back in just a few days time to do it all again!
